Highland Proverbs Panorama
Languages leave gaps between them: a word, an experience or a proverb can rarely be carried whole into another language.
This project begins in those imperfect overlaps, asking how Gaelic proverbs are understood, retold and connected again through English and Chinese.
The panorama turns twenty-five Highland proverbs into explorable scenes. Move from the full landscape into seven environments, then closer to each proverb’s image, meaning and documentary source.
